Effective date: February 25, 2026

1. Overview

Duke Free Food ("the App") helps users sync Duke University free food events to Google Calendar. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and what choices users have.

2. Google user data the App accesses

With user permission, the App accesses Google Calendar event data needed to create, read, and update event entries for the requested syncing functionality.

The App requests Google Calendar event access only for functionality directly related to calendar synchronization.

3. How data is used

The App uses accessed data only to:

  • Create calendar events for Duke free food listings
  • Check existing events to avoid duplicates
  • Update or manage synced event entries when needed

4. Data sharing and sale

The App does not sell Google user data. The App does not share Google user data with third parties except as required to operate the App's core functionality or comply with applicable law.

5. Data retention

OAuth tokens may be stored by the developer or app environment to support ongoing sync functionality for authorized users. Users may revoke access at any time from their Google Account permissions to stop future access.

6. Security

Reasonable measures are used to protect credentials and tokens associated with the App. No system is guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. User choices and revocation

Users can revoke the App's Google account access at any time through Google Account settings. Users may also contact the developer for support requests.
